My last day in Texas we did a little sight seeing. It was too hot to wear shoes so flips-flops it was. I am definitely planning a road trip for next time, and the Stockyards Hotel for the Old West atmosphere is on my list of hotels to stay.

feelin' good was easy, Lord, when he sang the blues

The temperature dropped about twenty degrees (from 104°) in one day, just in time for my sister and I to run the color me rad race in Fort Worth, Texas yesterday. It was probably the most fun 5k anyone could ever run. The day prior to the race was a shopping day, where I picked up this comfy dress at H&M. It hangs perfectly with the back hemline dropping lower than the front, just enough to make it so I don't have to wear shorts under. Also, I apologize for the over-wearing of these booties. They are my favorite, but I think its time to give them a break and find some new ones.

  I am in Texas visiting my sister for a week, and this is what we decided to do today. She paid seven dollars to watch me crawl around in this floating-human-hampster-ball at an outlet mall. The video is preeeetttty funny.

fading summer

I made this dress out of vintage fabric and recycled leather from a vintage skirt. Its the perfect flowy dress for a humid and hot day like today was. After these photos (and after the sun went down), my boyfriend and I drove a little farther down a dirt road and found thee best surprise ever. It was so random and so wonderful...two dinosaurs. I will be going back soon in the daylight to get some photos to show you guys the t-rex and longneck.
